What a lovely lunch! Awesome food, very nice service and great surroundings! And fresh produce from the garden…
Cured salmon with an avocado purée and sweetbreads with fresh peas, mint and lemon.
Viognier braised rabbit risotto, dill, pancetta.
Broad beans, beef brisket, reject potatoes, burnt shallots, white anchovies.
I had the beef and it was sensational! Melt in the mouth, beautiful dish. Can’t wait to go back…
Nice to have the recommendation of a foodie, we have been meaning to go here for years. But I am curious to know if the description of the potatoes and shallots is yours or was this as described on the menu?
Yes, Anne, what are ‘reject’ potatoes? I am intrigued. Not sure about the sweetbreads, either, but the food looks beautiful … 🙂
Maybe they are potatoes not good enough to do mash or the wrong size (they looked pretty perfect to me and tasted delicious) or they come from a second crop…At any rate, it’s intriguing!
